Meet Ava Kathleen Rowland!

Our new family of 4!

Livi loves her baby sister!

Ava Kathleen Rowland joined our little family on February 29th 2012 at 11:13am. 6lbs 11oz 18.5 inches long. She is perfect! The labor went surprisingly quick! I was induced around 7:30am. Dr. Nance came in and broke my water around 8:00 and soon after I recieved my Epidural. All in all it was only around 4 hours! After I got my epidural I could still feel the contractions. It was weird because from my belly button down was totally numb so I was confused as to why I kept feeeling my contractions. After pushing my button a few times and switching sides I convinced my nurse to go the guy and see what he did wrong. Well while we were watiting my doctor came in to check me and I was complete and ready to push! He said that was why I was so uncomfortable. I was kind of in shock! I didn't know it was going to go that fast! Well about a contraction and a half later Ava was born! She popped right out! It was seriously like 2 minutes of pushing! It was amazing! You can never truly describe the feeling of seeing your baby for the first time! Dr. Nance said it was a REALLY good thing she came as quickly as she did because the cord was wrapped around her neck not only once but 4 times!!! It was an amazing day! I love my Ava girl so much already! She is beautiful just like her sister! I couldn't ask for more! I feel so blessed to have such a wonderful husband and two beautiful girls! Livi is loving her little sister! She calls her "baby" and likes to push her in the swing and help mommy change her diaper. I've tried hard to give Alivia attention and keep her on her regular routine and she hasnt' really been to upset by the change. She is a little more needy but she has handled it like a champ! Ava has her days and nights totally mixed up but I don't mind. I like to play and get to know her and give her lots of attention while Liv is asleep so I don't feel like i'm negelecting Alivia. I think I can balance both girls eventually.

p.s. I should explain her middle name.... Kathleen is my Dad's mom and is an amazing woman! I just felt impressed that Ava carry her name. Grandma is really excited about it!

My Toddler!

Typical Meltdown when Mommy tells her "NO."

Gotta love the Ponytail!

I just have to post a few pictures of Liv because she isn't a baby anymore! Its kinda killing me a little inside! I think God knew that I would have a meltdown as she is getting bigger and that is why he sent baby girl #2 as quick as he did. Haha. I just love this little girl and as we get closer to welcoming baby "A" into the family I'm thankful for Liv being a little older. She is going to be lots of help. I'm getting SUPER excited for not being pregnant and just holding my sweet baby. I haven't really posted a lot about this pregnancy. I think it is so much different when you are pregnant a second time because you don't really have the time to sit and think about it. I have been so busy and consumed with Alivia that it has really just been these past couple of weeks that I have been able to wrap my mind around another one. It's not that I'm not excited because I couldn't be more so! I love my sweet girls and I can't wait for them to fianlly meet eachother! Only about 4 more weeks! YIKES!

P.S. On a side note we have put in an offer on a home in American Fork! It is such a cute little home built in the 50's. I fell instantly in love with it and so did Andy. It has so much potential and we love it!! It's a short sale and has been approved by the owner now we are just watiting on the bank....... SO many exciting things coming our way!!

Livi's List

Alivia has really started talking just these past couple of weeks! I swear she says at least one to two new words a day! I love it! Really for my sake and to kinda show her off I want to make a list of words she knows right now. No particular order.

1.Mamma
2. Dadda
3. Grandpa (She was saying this before she really started saying mamma.)
4. Grandma
5. Jesus (She has a church book and she flips right to the page with the picture of Jesus on it and says "Hi Jesus!" SO cute!)
6. Juice
7. Hot
8. Dora
9. Stuck
10. Hi ( Alot of word she uses start with "Hi dog" or "Hi Grandpa" )
11. Baby ( She pretty much calls everyone baby because that is what we call her.)
12. Love you ( She just started saying this and will give you a kiss after!)
13. Thank you
14. Ah Choo (fake sneeze)
15. Uh Oh
16. No, No, No
17. Yay!
18. Yep
19. Huh
20. Owl
21. Dog
22. Kitty Kitty
23. Poopsie ( my dad calls her poopsie girl. She was kissing my belly yesterday and she says "Hi Poopsie to the baby. It was pretty funny.)
24. Ball
25. All done
26. Cheese

That is all I can think of. She is getting pretty smart! We need to be watching what we say because she is picking up on stuff fast!!

We moved in with my parents in November to be able to save a little money to buy a house this summer. I think it has been really good for Liv because she hears all of us talking a lot. She is such a sweet baby and I can't believe how fast she is growing! I guess it's kind of a good thing seeing as how we only have a couple of months until the new baby gets here!

Christmas Morning!

We got home from Cabo Christmas Eve. Alivia loved waking up Christmas to presents! She went straight for the baby stroller. I knew she would! She got a lot of fun stuff. From "Santa" she got a fun dog pillow chair, a baby, clothes, bath toys, and I even made her a quilt! I haven't finished it yet but I got the hard part done! She got a few other toys and outfits from grandparents. It was a nice relaxing Christmas with the traditional bisquits and gravy made by my Grandpa Curtis. We have done this every year since I can remember. It is one of my all time favorite traditions. We hope you all had a great Christmas!

Feliz Navidad!

For Christmas my parents took us to Cabo San Lucas! It was so much fun! The beach was beautiful and the weather was warm! It was fun to have a little family time and relax on the beach.

Family Christmas Party

Alivia taking a good whack at the Pinata.

Seeing Santa for the first time. I don't think she liked it much.

Her reward for sitting on Santa's lap.

My cute girl!

Just making herself comfortable on Grandpa's lap. She layed like this all by herself. ha ha

I've been getting this bratty look a lot lately! Oh the joys of having a toddler!

This past weeknd we had our annual family Christmas party. It was fun seeing the family and eating some good food. It was Alivia's first experience with Santa..... needless to say it didn't go over very good. Here are a few pictures. Enjoy.

Birthday Week!

Andy and I both had birthday's at the beginning of the month. I am now 24 and Andy is a respectable 29. For my birthday Andy surprised me with a 1 hour massage at Massage Envy. I shopped with my mom and sister in the morning and then went and had my massage and met my family at Olive Garden for dinner. It was a GREAT day! I was in desperate need for a massage! Its hard being prego and hauling around a 16month old. For Andy's birthday he sadly had to work most of the day. We celebrated Saturday when a few of his family members came down to Provo to see Andy's Mom and Dad get sealed to his little brother Devin. It was a great day and we went out to eat and enjoyed eachothers company for a few hours. I sadly didn't get any pictures of us on our birthdays. Here however is a picture of me at 29 weeks pregnant. I can't believe how fast it is going! We will have another baby here before we know it!
